Jasper - Starved American Staffordshire Terrier - Adopted!
Jasper (aka Sid) - Original Photo 3/10/09
Jasper is a Blue Pit American Staffordshire Terrier. He is in pretty bad shape at the moment.
Jasper and another dog were found eating garbage on the side of the road. He is very underweight and is in need of some serious TLC.
He had an abscess on his face that is currently healing. Currently Sid is on medical hold for the time being until he can gain sufficient amount of weight and we can further evaluate his medical needs.
Jasper has a swollen ankle, and his right back leg will need further vet care.
We are accepting applications on Jasper now, but do not have an estimated adoption date for him at this time.
Update 3/26/09: Jasper was to the vet today. His abcess looks good, it is going down. His knee has healed where it is now
placed, so that will need corrective surgery after we have him treated for
heartworms. The doctor is trying to get the immiticide donated for this cause.
Jasper also has Lymes Disease, so was placed on doxy for 28 days. They are
going to do an ultrasound of his heart next week to see how progressed the
heartworms are.
Thank you and God Bless.
